Middleton Work Club - say hi to Mike
Please give a big Middleton shout out for our new volunteer Mike.
Mike has joined us this week and will be supporting our weekly Work Club Sessions, he has a lot of experience of supporting and encouraging people, so, if you are currently looking for work and are in need of some help and support then you can drop in to any of our Work Club sessions.
Weekly – Tuesday and Thursday 10am-12 noon.
The Middleton Work Club at the Lighthouse is just that, it’s a ‘club’, a welcoming space where you can call in to chat about your job searching journey, or to get some support for specific things, such as CV writing, or how to make best use of the various job hunting websites.
The club sessions are flexible, sometimes it will just be conversations about your experiences and challenges, and at other times we’ll put on targeted skills sessions to meet the needs of those attending. Come and be with other like minded people looking for work. Why not give it a go?
On Tuesday mornings we also have partners in the Lighthouse Project from the Skills and Work team, and they can offer access to varying skills and training programmes, so together we offer a great spread of experience and opportunities to boost your journey back into work.
The Lighthouse Project is part of local charity Inspire Middleton which raises all its own funding through grants and donations. The help and support of groups and organisations is just the type of thing that we need – are you able to donate and invest in helping us tackling poverty and building a better community?
