Today we want to recognise our amazing Foodbank volunteers who over the past 12 months have supported 2989 adults and children in 647 families with emergency food.
In the last year our volunteers have helped us sort through 31 tonnes of donated food (which is no mean feat), and have distributed 37 tonnes of food by providing food parcels to struggling families. Equivalent to over 88,000 meals.
We are now regularly giving away more food than we receive in donations which means we are having to buy-in more food stocks to keep our supplies topped up. We realise that the cost-of-living-crisis is impacting all parts of our community, which means that more than ever we need and value your support.
Thank you Ian Jones for your hard work in keeping our shelves so well stocked and ordered.
Special thanks also goes to Jeremy Ratchford, Eileen Sutch, Hilary Murray, Carol Hibbert, Dave Lees, Johnny Lees, John Hickling, Fiona Beattie, Ray Bowden and Jackie Hawkley for your outstanding commitment to our community each and every week.
