Today we feature some of our wonderful walking group volunteers who every week, come rain or shine, lead our visitors on a number of different local walks.
We want to say a huge thank you to our Walk Leader, Margaret White, who has diligently headed up the group since 2016, planning all of the weekly walks and the organisation that goes on behind the scenes.
Thanks also goes to our other volunteers Anthony Crossland, Peter Humphries, Karen Blakley and Yvonne Johnson for their help in supervising the group, which typically sees up to 30 people taking part and enjoying the great outdoors each week.
Finally a big thank you to Margaret’s husband Charlie who makes the most amazing sandwiches for everyone to enjoy at the end of the walk.
The walks are generally local, and designed to be easy to do even for beginners. If you are interested in taking part, the walkers leave promptly from the Lighthouse Project every Friday at 12 noon. (photo features Anthony Crossland, Charlie White, Margaret White and Peter Humphries).
