Get Online Week is coming soon - Oct 2024
Get Online Week is a national event, run every year, to help people get online for the first time, or to discover new ways to use the internet and develop their digital skills. There are still over 20% of people in the UK who have limited access to the internet, or need help in using digital services.
These events are open to all, no matter what your existing skill or experience. We just want to help you develop your online skills.
Get Online Week events at the Lighthouse Project are happening 15th & 17th October and will be amongst hundreds of events across the UK.
What happens during Get Online Week?
Hosted by local organisations and National Digital Inclusion Network members, these events cater to unique community needs and interests. From techy tea parties and online scavenger hunts to supportive learning sessions, each event aims to teach a new digital skill that will allow attendees to experience and understand the benefits of getting online.
The Good Things Foundation also works with strategic partners and supporters to amplify the campaign message: that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to benefit from being online – and that free support is out there. Can you help us spread the word?
