Do you have friends or family who might benefit from support with digital skills? Perhaps you can give them a nudge to come get some free support? At the Lighthouse Project we are a community organisation that can help and you support you to access the online world.
We have been a UK Online Centre for over 12 years helping people to get to grips with computers, the internet and all things digital. Don’t be afraid to ask about where, or how to start, this is what we are about and what our digital inclusion work is all about. No questions is too basic.
We use ‘Learn My Way’ which is a free digital learning platform powered by the Good Things Foundation, which offering a whole range of free online courses to help people get online, and to learn the basics.
Learn My Way offers a range of topics, from using social media accounts to applying for Universal Credit. We run hosted sessions where we have a digital champion on hand to guide you through the first steps, and then help you to progress onto more and more things.
Being able to access the internet can be quite liberating, and suddenly a whole range of new opportunities become available to you. We can help you kickstart your digital skills journey.
