This Essential Digital Skills report provides an overview of the specific digital work abilities that the UK labour force lack, as well as an understanding of who and where, to a level of specificity
not seen before.

Across 2022, Lloyds Banking Group led and collaborated with an advisory panel of 40 cross-sector partners to evolve the Essential Digital Skills Framework, ensuring it remained fit for purpose for today’s digital society.

As a result, and for the first time, this report provides a much broader view of workplace digital skills, surveying almost 3,000 working-age people*.

This report also brings to life stories across industries and individuals, to truly demonstrate the impact of reskilling and upskilling.
