Our great team of staff and volunteers have been working hard behind the scenes to get us ready for Christmas so we can spread the Christmas cheer and blessings to all those who visit us in December.
Whilst we are not able to offer the full Lighthouse Christmas experience of cakes, carols and the sharing of good times together, we are thinking of those we would normally see at this time of year, and are doing what we can to offer support, inspire hope, and and build confidence for the future during these challenging times of Covid-19.
So, we’ve got our nativity scene set up in the reception area, kindly loaned to us by Middleton Shopping Centre, and we have a cluster of well decorated trees and lights in our main lounge, and around the Pantry shop.
These are to remind us of the greater hope that we have, and so that we can give thanks that we have been able to keep some of our essential projects open this year, the Foodbank, Pantry, and debt service, providing much needed support to families and individuals.
As we come to the end of 2020 we are looking forward to a time in the new year when we can start to re-open the rest of our services, and begin seeing lots of people visiting us again, but in the meantime we want to say we have not forgotten you, and we want to send out all our love to our Lighthouse friends and families.
