Our open day on Saturday 9 January was a good success, it gave local people the opportunity to come in and discover the array of organisations, services and activities that are on offer.
Carl Roach, Project Manager, said: “People often drive past us and know that we are here because they see the building, but they don’t necessarily come in and and know about what we do, so the open day was to allow people to do this.”
“We have been quite busy actually and we have had a lot of people coming through the doors so the support has been there,” said Mr Roach. We had over 60 people attend on the day and many were given a tour around the building to show them the work of Middleton Dial, Middleton Central Foodbank as well as the Lighthouse Project to give them an understanding of the work that is undertaken.
In our search for new premises to move into the Open day visitors were asked to give comments on a couple of options that are currently being explored, this helps us to make sure we are meeting as many needs as possible.
