A brand new community resource has started at the Lighthouse Project, called Middleton Work Club. The club which is open to anyone to attend has been set up specifically to support local people in their search for work.
The club is running on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon
between 2:00pm – 4:00pm, and it is free to attend.
Pam Semp, Centre Manager says, “It doesn’t matter where you might think that you are on your journey towards getting a job – or how long it has been since you had one, helping you along that journey to achievement is what we do at the Lighthouse Project and is why we have set this club up.”
During the sessions which cover a number of weeks we wil help people to look for work and opportunities in the local area, invite guest speakers from local companies and businesses, provide training and support and share skills between club members. There will be sessions on CV makeovers and an introduction to volunteering opportunites.
