Our Lighthouse Pantry is now open to new memberships.

As of 3rd December 2018 the Lighthouse Pantry is taking on new members, and we are planning to open the Pantry from Thursday 6th December.

Opening times are Thursday’s 1:30pm – 3:30pm and Friday’s 10am-12noon.

This will be a ‘soft opening’ until the new year as we build up numbers and fine tune our operations, but that is no reason to put off joining and taking advantage of our member benefits – you will certainly save yourself some money right from your first visit!

To become a member fill in the application form and bring it back to us along with some proof of address.
We will check your eligibility and then confirm your membership after which you can then start using the Pantry once a week on a Thursday afternoon (1:30pm-3:30) or a Friday morning (10am-12 noon) and save yourself some money. Weekly costs are just £3.50 for 10 items plus 4 items of fruit or veg.

This is a project that we are running in conjunction with a few other organisations, Your Local Pantry, Church Action on Poverty, and Fareshare, and it is aimed at helping people to keep more disposable income in the household for other things by helping them to save money on their weekly food costs.

The project is a membership based club and eligibility and usage conditions apply to make sure that the Pantry is used to make the most impact. More information is provided in the application form.
