The Lighthouse Project has been based in the Warwick Mill for the last 6 years and recently the new owners of the mill have served us with a notice to quit, and they require us to vacate the building by May 2016 (extended from February 2016).

In the light of this the ‘Lighthouse new building fund’ has been opened to help us raise the investment money we will need to cover the costs of having to move Inspire Middleton, the Lighthouse Project, Middleton Central Foodbank and Middleton Dial into a new building.

The fund will be used to pay for rent/mortgage deposits, increased set up costs, alterations & fit-outs, removals, rent and rates, equipment purchases etc. In the event that we look to purchase a premises this fund may additionally be used towards payment of any deposit or mortgage payments.

Can you help us by donating towards our ‘new Building Fund’ today?

The ‘Lighthouse Keepers fund’ supports the running of the Lighthouse Project, our drop-in style employment and community support centre. We help local people to move beyond barriers that affect their lives, to learn new skills, look for work, do new things or meet new people. We encourage and inspire them to achieve their potential, and the financial support given by ‘Lighthouse Keepers’ help us move away from the uncertainty of short-term grant funding.

So far our work has been funded by applying for short term grants; and these have been awarded for a variety of reasons, to deliver a service or activities, however this type of funding is not very stable or predictable and because of this we want to build our work on firm foundations.

We have started a donation and partnership Scheme called the ‘Lighthouse Keepers Fund’ and the purpose of this is to collect regular and ad hoc donations and to gather around us a body of supporters who believe in the vision of our work and want to help us continue making a difference in the lives of people in Middleton.

If you want to give in another way you can still do this by getting in touch directly or making use of the form below.
